Pick a time control from the pill at the centre of the screen, then the player moving second taps their own side — exactly like pressing a real clock to start your opponent’s time. From then on, make your move on the board and tap your side (anywhere on your half — a full-palm slap works) to stop your clock and start theirs.

Tap the small round pause button at the centre seam. While paused you get an arbiter panel: add or remove 10 seconds from either player, change names, switch time control, or reset the game — the same corrections an arbiter makes at a real board.

Pause, then choose End game… and select the winning colour or a draw. The clock records the result exactly as the board decided it; checkmate, resignation and draws are yours to declare — the clock only ever calls flag falls itself.

Turn it on in Settings → Table Mode. When the device lies flat on the table, the layout adapts so each player reads their own clock: in portrait the top clock flips to face your opponent, and in landscape each half rotates outward like a real tournament clock beside the board. Held upright, both clocks face you again.

History is stored on your device only. Deleting the app deletes your history. iCloud sync is on the roadmap; until then, your device backup (iCloud or computer) is what preserves it, like any other app data.

No. Duo Pro is a single one-time purchase (US price $6.99; local pricing varies), applied to your Apple Account. Nothing renews and there is nothing to cancel. It supports Family Sharing, so your family group can use it too.
